Watching these five Parisienne women travel the Himalayas on their Royal Enfields was pretty exciting. As one could only expect of Indian roads, they were narrow and unforgiving with shear drops, gravel and dirt, then there were the camps and altitude sickness which they seemed to negotiate with an effortlessness in style as only the French can do. Since returning to Paris they've been working very hard to get a film produced of their journey and this is the first of the 3 part film which documents the first leg of their journey from New Dhelhi to Manali. A favourite moment for me at 7:56 watching Louise B, Louse P, Pauline, Cindy and Cécile getting drunk at altitude on Cointreau in a tarp tent... so chic even with road dirty faces and no sleep.
